Lead Instructor - Design
Austin Spark League is seeking a dynamic and passionate lead design instructor at our summer program for high school students, which runs from July 18 - August 5.
ABOUT US
We offer a startup-style summer program which teaches high schools students the skills required to take a product idea to market through a mix of technology, design, and entrepreneurship education. Throughout the program students learn how to collaborate effectively in a team, develop product ideas, conduct user research, build a working technology product, and then market their product. All work is project based and built around small, functional teams, with assistance from mentors (both peers and adults) who provide both support and insight to the students. Students also receive exclusive talks from a wide range of local entrepreneurs, technologists, designers, and industry leaders. ABOUT YOU
You love to solve problems, ideate solutions, and pitch those ideas to others. Plus you love sharing all the knowledge you’ve gained with others. You do not need to have a specific amount of work experience, rather you should be someone who understands good design, design thinking principles, and is willing to work with a fast moving team to help teach these methodologies to high school students.
If you have an education background - that’s great too!, but we would prefer that you have had some time spent on the industry side producing work for clients and/or companies.
